Compagnie des Bateaux-Mouches® was founded in 1949 by Jean Bruel. It began with a single steam boat, a relic from the universal exhibition of 1900...Today, we have a modern fleet of 15 boats that host almost 2.5 million people, Parisians and tourists alike, each year. We have carefully built our success over the years on the key values forming the core components of the Compagnie des Bateaux-Mouches® identity: Welcome, Service and Gastronomy.
The wonderful story of Bateaux-Mouches® begins with a novel idea by Jean Bruel: Explore Paris from its best avenue of them all: the Seine. So, in 1949, the first boat to offer Parisians a guided cruise with no stops, was launched.
Compagnie des Bateaux-Mouches® has a large fleet of the latest generation boats; they are energy efficient, comfortable and quiet. Their capacity varies between 100 to 1000 passengers depending on requirements: Boat tour, lunch or dinner cruise, cocktail reception...
